Our at-home collection service is designed to save you time and is completely confidential and discreet. You can choose to get your entire family tested in the comfort of your own home. Choose a day and a time that is convenient for you, and we’ll send one of our trained professionals to your door.

How does the service work?
- You can request home sample collection either when you order your tests online or by arranging it with our care team on WhatsApp.
- During the checkout process while booking online you will have to specify the time you want to provide the samples and pay for the order. At the agreed time, a phlebotomist will arrive at your chosen address and take the samples.
- Before taking the sample, the phlebotomist checks personal identification documents and, if necessary, requests the signing of the sampling consent form.
- After that, samples will then be taken from you and your family.
How many people can give a sample at home?
There is no limit to the number of people who can give samples.
What tests can be given at home?
The majority of our test portfolio is available as an at-home sample collection service. During the check out process you will be alerted if a specific test does not allow for home collection. For tests that do not allow for home collection, you would need to place a separate order and choose in-facility sample collection.
How much does the service cost?
We charge a standard fee of N5,000 for our at-home sample collection service. The service is available in all cities where SYNLAB has a facility. Should you wish to request at-home sample collection in another State or city where there is currently no SYNLAB facility we ask that you contact our care team and make a special arrangement. Out of State or City collection will be charged differently from our standard rates.
Can the service also be used with a referral?
Yes. Your doctor or medical professional should provide you with the tests that you need to do, you can order these tests on our website and request at-home collection services during the checkout process.
How to prepare for sampling?
Make sure you can be home at your chosen time.
Inform the sampling team how they can enter the house/apartment.
If you have pets, make sure they are restrained securely.
Read the instructions about preparing for sampling and note that some tests require fasting and non-drinking.
Where can I order a sampling team?
Can I cancel my order?
If you are unable to be at home at the agreed time or wish to cancel your at-home sample collection booking for any other reason, please WhatsApp us as soon as possible.
The same at-home sample collection booking can be changed without losing the sampling fee by requesting a change of date and time using WhatsApp (+234 810 460 7653) no later than 24 hours before the sampling day. Otherwise, SYNLAB will not cancel the visit.
In the event of a non-canceled visit, SYNLAB has the right to charge a visit fee.
